The dikir ceremonies held for 12 consecutive nights in commemorating the Maulidur Rasul celebration at mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide ended on 4th September night. The focal point of the dikir closing ceremony was at the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. Also present were Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, and Yang Berhormat Awang Lawi bin Haji Lamat and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Daud bin Jihan, Members of the Legislative Council.

A delegation from the Prime Minister's Office and the departments under it also organised a similar ceremony at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque. Present, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.

The dikir closing ceremony also took place at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque, Kampung Manggis/Madang. Among those attending was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister for Civil Service Governance at the Prime Minister's Office.

At Masjid Universiti, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, the dikir closing ceremony was attended by Doctor Awang Hazri bin Haji Kifle, Vice Chancellor of UBD. Also joining was a delegation from Mukim Gadong 'A' an Gadong 'B' Zone 1.
